Superuser Christian Posted August 31, 2022 Superuser Share Posted August 31, 2022 This thread is used for feedback/updates on a future server browser we will be implementing into TMC. @Vauff, @57_Wolve, and I will likely be working on this in the future. With the networking/programming knowledge we have, we know this is definitely possible to create and honestly shouldn't be that difficult. We will be making our own Master Server and query system as well. We will be making mods (AKA plugins, addons, and extensions) for third-party game servers so we can support any game. However, games we partner with will have native support which will include more features and such. Finally, we will also be keeping track of server population graphs/ranks as well. This will be a more complicated task, but something we will add support for in the future once it's done. If you're interested in helping out or providing feedback, feel free to reply to this thread! P.S. in the future we'll have our own forum category for the server browser and a more in-depth feedback system that will be added into the site itself. Superuser Christian Posted August 31, 2022 Author Superuser Share Posted August 31, 2022 One other thing I want to mention is I've already made a web-sided server browser for Team Fortress 2, Browser.tf. Once TMC's server browser is completed, I will redirect that website to the new server browser (it already gets quite a bit of traffic)! Fluffacorn
Suggestion: A public or selfhosted discord bot that could read info from the server browser such as player count, map, etc. It'd be useful for things like notifications on someone joining a server or notifications when a certain map is in rotation. Nothing like this currently exists, reckon it'd be useful for quite a few folks out there.

We'll definitely be making open-source Discord bots for this in the future along with a neat API system :D Thank you for the suggestion as well!
